A 30% reduction in carbon emissions. That’s the target ANCA Manufacturing Solutions (AMS) has set for its Thailand facility over the next three years — backed by a comprehensive investment in sustainable manufacturing practices. From solar energy generation to advanced water reclamation, these initiatives are designed to reduce environmental impact while helping our clients meet their own supply chain sustainability goals.
Clean Energy: A 500kW Solar Array Powering Our Operations
At the heart of the program is a newly installed 500kW solar array, which now provides a significant portion of the facility’s energy needs. Alongside this, an advanced energy management system monitors and optimises consumption across the site in real time. As a result, our operational energy costs have decreased while our reliance on fossil fuels continues to drop.
Waste Reduction: 25% Less Material Waste and Growing
Enhanced material recycling processes have already delivered measurable results, reducing waste output by 25% since implementation. Every stage of production is now assessed for recyclability, and our team has introduced closed-loop processes for key materials. In addition, employee-led training programs reinforce a culture of resource conservation across the facility.
Water Conservation: Reclaiming 40% of Freshwater Consumption
Water scarcity is a growing concern across Southeast Asia, which makes responsible water use a strategic priority. Our reclamation systems now capture and treat process water for reuse, cutting fresh water consumption by 40%. This not only reduces our environmental footprint but also strengthens our operational resilience against supply disruptions.
Why Sustainable Manufacturing Matters to Your Supply Chain
“Sustainability is a top priority for our European and North American clients, who expect environmental responsibility throughout their supply chains,” says Nicholas Doyle, General Manager at AMS Thailand. “By investing in green manufacturing practices here, we help our partners meet their own ESG commitments — which increasingly factor into procurement decisions.”
These initiatives also align with the broader sustainability goals of the ANCA Group and support global environmental certifications. For OEMs and manufacturers sourcing precision components, partnering with a facility that prioritises sustainable operations can simplify compliance reporting and reduce Scope 3 emissions.
